A Rendezvous Which Become A Ritulal- My journey in KTJH

Jai Jinendra to all!!

It was 4th April 2012 and the occasion was Mahavir Janmotsava.
On being told about a programme going on in Wilson Garden related to the occasion, me, that time a confused and quite out-of-place guy, entered the temple and as someone has said, 'the rest is history'.

Started that day a relation for me which I identify today as KTJH.

After I met so many new friends that day, I realized that you need not have a reason to connect with people everytime. Sometimes the connection just happens. By evening that day, it was hard for me to believe that I had met everyone that very morning. All thanks to the inclusive nature of  KTJHIans who are always more than welcoming.

My first trip with KTJH happened in June and the trip was to Hogenakkal Falls. This  trip was quite unusual because of the fact that many new faces were seen in this trip. I think the number of new people was more than the number of old members. Anyways in KTJH, a 'new' member remains so only for a few hours. After that no one can find out who the new person was. The trip had lot of fun, antakshari, swimming, food and what not... a day which came after such a long time in my life. Similiar was the experience of Kanakgiri-Gommatgiri trip. A perfect amalgamation of Bhakti, fun and 'fotos'.

When the year was about to end, we all gathered after a long time for a Vidhaan. And soon after in the new year 2013, came Mandargiri trip.  I got a first hand experience of preparing and eating Daal-Baati in this trip which was until now a not-so-known dish for me. Six months later, we again found ourselves visiting the temples of North Karnataka around Moodbidri. The coincidences attached with that trip have already been wrote and discussed. The endless meetings and fun we have had in Bangalore are separate from these extravaganzas. Those poojans and Bhakti we have done together, those poha and jalebi nashtas or daal baati cookings. Why to forget THE MTR nashta which we had today i.e. 22 June 2014. I cannot forget the excitement of Neha didi and hunger of Anubhuti and Shweta for today’s nashta :D . Really the nashta was delicious to the core. Simply superb.

Now when all these things are coming to a pause for me, I realize what a vacuum will be left behind. It will be quite difficult to fill this hollowness. But life has to move on. Its flow cannot be stopped or reversed.
So, I take this opportunity to express gratitude to all KTJHians who always made me feel at-home. Our religion brought us together initially but after that it has been the friendly nature of all members which has held the group firmly even after almost 3 years. The gift from KTJH is going to be one of the most precious things I am taking away from Bangalore because it contains all your best wishes as well as affection. I can easily say that such inclusiveness and affection is very difficult to find in today’s world which one can get in KTJH and which I have got in KTJH. KTJH is really a family away from family.

I would also wish to seek apology from everyone in general for everything I have said or done wrong and from Mayank and Abhinandan Bhai in special because many-a-times it happened that they asked me to come for a trip but I had to refuse owing to other engagements. However, I feel sad for every trip I couldn't come to.

Today, I just hope and wish that if, a couple of years down the line, I come back to Bangalore, I find my KTJH fresh, active and lively as ever.

Awesome start of the year 2014 for KTJH

Trips started again... after so many months... in these months so many plans came but not a single was able to succeed. People were just feeling something missing from their life.... that masti... apnapan... bachpan... uploading previous tip pics and everything was looking like a memory and somewhere in the deep we started feeling that trips are not going to start again.... But where this a will there is a way.

I want to take this opportunity to show my gratitude towards the organizers Neha Jain
and Rishabh Jain... A big big thanks to them form my side...They took the initiative and took it forward and finally a big success for KTJH.

Here are some highlights of the day :

On time starting of the trip is now common even when it is leaving Bangalore at
4.30 am:)
New collections of bhajans in perdrive for starting the bus journey...

@Shravanbelagola
Samhik poojan, Abhishek by my and my brother in law.
Photo sessions that are also common

Breakfast time:: Bas jaha place mile vaha baith jao... koi
Archana) to kisiMohini) ki godi mein hi baith gaye

Yaar aisa lag hi nahi raha tha ki bahut dino baad trip pe ja rahe ho.. vo hi ghulna milna....

Chote pahad pe bhi mast jaldi hi chadai kar li.....aur bhakti as usual ... bahut mazza aya.

@Kadamba halli :: New place for me
Very old temples,
Bhatarakji told us story of the city and the temples.
ek pillar bhi tha jispe ek yaksh ki mastak pe bhagwaan shri 1008 Sheetalnath bagwan virajmaan the...
The pillar was surrounded with ironic architecture so that one can go on top and the thing is that when we climb the same it was vibrating so girls were getting feared   while boys were busy in photo shoot

@Mandargiri
It was our luck or I can say KTJH spirit which made it possible for us to cover Mandargiri as well which was not in the plan as told by organizers.

While going to Mandargiri we were just planing to do Aariti at the ground level temple but when we reached there something just happened I don't know what are all were tracking the hill except 2 who were not feeling well.

Within 10-15 mins we were at the top and then there were darkness in the temples but we too are software engineers   , we used mobile torches to light up the temples and then sang Aartis and Bhajans.

We tracked down quickly and then we did Aarti of bhagwaan shri 1008 Chandaprabhu
at the ground level temple.

At last I just wanted to mention that we missed all other members who were not able to join the trip.. we were missing them in respective times like
Ashutosh's singing... while photo sessions Rupesh bhaiya's clicks and excellent.. Mohit's jokes or say PJs  ... Everyone in this group has his/her own identity and we just so attached to each other,

My special birthday :: Mean while it was my birthday which became special. I am lucky that I am part of this group also that this trip was today i.e 26 January(my birthday).

You people made it so special for me being it giving me bday bumps in public   or wishing me again and again. This is my best ever b'day. Thank you KTJH, thank you.

KTJH spirit jindabaad ::
Great co-ordination(also initiatives like
Shweta stood up to do accounting  ) by all of us made this trip so successful that now we all are looking forward for trips soon

Ramtek - Nagpur trip: Part 3: Bye Ramtek, Hi Nagpur.. Back to Bangalore

Lets continue from where we left but before that let me remind you the cast and crew of this story.

Actors:: Mayank,Ajay,Nitin,Neha,Lavish,Mohit... in sab ka role to dekh hi chuke ho
Actors in supporting role:: Abhinandan.. is se bhi mulakat ho gayi thi
Special Appearence:: Mohini, Aditi... Mohini ka role khatam... Aditi ka role aana baki hai ;-)
Naam hi kafi hai:: Nishikant ... Naam aa gaya

Quick recap:

'masti ke mastane' were enjoying each and every bit of the trip they were able to reach Ramtek after all the hurdles, had darshan of all the temples and Acharye shri 108 'Vidya Sagar' ji maharj. After bhakti on first day they went out to see the Ramtek place. They covered dam and now there were at Ram temple.

Photo session and 'Langoor aur chane'

While moving back from Ram temple it was time for photo shoot, also there we saw people were offering 'chane' to 'langoors' which was very good to see and guess what we all tried the same :D:D Mayank initiated this. We tried many different poses and here are few for you all :)

Above is the scary one... I remember Neha saying yahi baithe rehna... :D :D . But heads off to all of us for trying something like this ;) :P:P

Anubhuti, Monika vala pose ;-)

Guru Aarti:

We were back now in the temple, it was time for Aarti of Guruvar. Again this was the first in my life to be part of such an event. Many people were there and it was nice to be part of this event. Here is a pic of Gurudev.

One interesting thing happened here 'apne bhai' Abhinandan pointed at a lady and said she is a IPS or IAS officer as well as she is a doctor we said she might by Phd doctor not the medical doctor but Abhinandan said that she is medical doctor and use to conduct some shivir. Mayank use to suffer with back pain and we finalized that we will approach her and get some tips from her. Mayank and Nitin went to her and came back to us, we asked did you got some tips... guess what they replied 'wahi hua jis ka dar tha' she was not a medical doctor but was Phd doctor :D :D

Vaiya vraiti

Now it was night time and we approached for 'Viya vraiti' of Maharaj ji. There was a queue for the same and it was our luck that there were very few people standing in the same. Organizers were allowing only 1 min per person and we got the chance for the same..... yes we got the chance.

Here also some fun was there when we first stood in the line witin 5 mins they changed the gate of entrance, here Lavish who was ahead in the queue got out from the queue because of shifting and got disappointed. Others went in the queue. When I came back I asked Lavish no problem go now and he went. I thought this a good chance as people were less i again got added in the queue ;) And second time too i got chance for Vaiya vrati.

Next day :

Abhinandan left last night.
In the same day we did many things, darshan in morning, leaving Ramtek, visiting places in Nagpur and catching the train. Lets start from the start of the day

Morning:

This day we wake up early then the previous day and we were able to see 'Guru Bhakti' in morning. Awesome view... the Guru(Acharaye shri Vidya sagar ji) was sitting in middle and all the shishye(muni maharaj) were sitting in the front in three rows. It was a beautiful view I was feeling happy and blessed to be part of this trip :):)
Today we also tried like yesterday, I was standing with Nitin at the place where Acharye shri will come for washing his feet, as he came he understood and told me 'Yahi Khade rehna' . I didn't expected the same.

Except me and Lavish all others participated in Chauka and I heard that it went well :) After the same we ate some food at chauka only as Neha's aunt insisted us to eat there. It was good to eat good food.

Back to Nagpur @ with a kamal driver:

It was time to leave Ramtek after all bhakti, our daily life was calling us back. We booked a sumo till Nagpur. Our train for Bangalore was at 10.30 pm from Nagpur and for pune guys(Lavish and Mohit) they had to catch a bus at 4 pm from Nagpur. We reached Nagpur around 2-2.30 pm. Our plan was to visit 'Motha Mandir' where Achareye shri 'Vishudh sagar manaraj ji' was staying(chaumasa hi tha vaha) with his full 'sang'. But our driver didn't knew the inner of the city nor we so just roam like anything and even some people misguided us. As well as it seemed that our driver was a new guy he took like 15 mins for a U turn and our Mohit was cracking jokes on him while Lavish was in full tension(kahi bus na choot jaye)
Finally our luck came back and we asked for route from an aunt, she sent one boy with us who lead us towards the 'Motha Mandir' and finally we were there. By the time we reached there 'parvachan' were going on in a near by hall so we went there. Just after the darshan of Maharaj ji with sang Lavish and Mohit left they took an auto to reach the place of pick up.

Roaming in Nagpur:

Mayank was on call with his friend(yes one of Mayank's friend is from Nagpur and his name is Girish we met him earlier on the station when we reached Nagpur from Bangalore).
In the mean time me, Nitin and Neha had some good snack which includes 'Bread pakoda', Gulab jamun etc.

Now we decided to get the darshan of 'Motha Mandir' which was like 5-10 mins walk from the hall. We reached there by 4.45pm but temple's opening time was 5:15 pm. We insisted the Maali, actually credits goes to Neha and finally he agreed to open the door.

I admit its a must see temple(bole to Nagpur jao to darshan jarur karna yaha ke). It looked like very old temple with beautiful architecture. It was 2 storied and there as temple in basement too, the way for the same was inside the temple.

Check out few pics:

From ground floor:

Basement:

At first floor:

Movie @ Nagpur:

Now we were free for say 3-4 hours and nothing to do. Mayank's friend was with a car. They planned to go for a movie in a near by mall which was near to station. Bonus for us thanks to Mayank and Girish(Mayank's friend.) We went for 'Once upon a time in Mumbai doobara'. It was overall good movie with 'vajandaar' dailoges.
So we enjoyed each and every bit of trip till now without wasting any single minute.

Back to Bangalore:

We reached the station on time and after few minutes train arrived.

This time our tickets were confirm not like while coming :P:P. Again thanks to Girish for arranging the same in tatkal. It was time for entry of our next special appearance actor Aditi. We knew she was coming from the same train(Karnatka Sampark kranti). Her seat was in 3rd AC while we were in sleeper. Neha and Mayank said they will not be eating in night so now it was me and Nitin who will be having dinner. We went to Aditi's compartment i guess B2 and got the food(Tamatar ki chatni mast vali, aalo ki sabji, poori and achar).
We ate few of them saving for next day and had some namkin.

There was an uncle sitting on side of a seat, his seat was not confirm, now we were able to understand his situation so we offered him mat while we were sleeping :).
I use to do two things in train journey eat and sleep. Next morning I woke up only when Aditi said 'Ajay bhiaya utho' I don't how many times she tried.

Colgate ka add

And later whole day went in chit chat discussing and planning future trips of KTJH. Like this time passed and we came back to Bangalore.

Every single minute of the trip was fill with fun or adventure. I guess I will never forget a trip like this. I use to say 'Ise acha kuch ho hi nahi sakta tha in chootiyo mein'. Poore paise vasool karane vali trip, thanks to KTJH :):)

'Yeh kisssa yahi khatam hota hai'. 'Hope that you also enjoyed the the trip as we did. :):)
Thank you for reading.

Good bye.

Ramtek - Nagpur trip: Part 2: First day @ Ramtek aur Nitin ke jalwe

Lets continue from where we left but before that let me remind you the cast and crew of this story.

Actors:: Mayank,Ajay,Nitin,Neha,Lavish,Mohit
Actors in supporting role:: Abhinandan
Special Appearence: Mohini, Aditi

Naam hi kafi hai: Nishikant

Quick recap:
Until now you saw how these 'masti ke mastane' somehow planed a trip and started their trip without any idea of how much adventurous it is going to be. And their advanture upto now includes reaching station in rain from various places in bangalore, train journey without ticket and finally a journey in tempo.

One bonus for you all: I forgot to mention this in "fun @ train" and it is when everyone was trying to understand how Abhishek missed his Rajdhani. He said train departure was at 8.20 pm I(Abhishek) started at 7 and then.... someone(guess who?) stopped him here only and asked again what time you said your train was? ... he replied at 8.20 and what time you left ?? reply was 7 .... then she(yes Neha) said '8 baje ki gadi ke liye 7 baje nikale the hmm to nikale hi kyo the ghar pe hi reh jate'. :D :D Everybody stated laughing like any thing and I am sure Abhishek must not have expected this.

Now let continue ;-)

Accomodation @Ramtek: We reached Ramtek somewhere around 9 pm. And we decided that Neha will be staying with her 'buaji' and we all boys will be staying in a room(i guess it was a banquet hall type something) 1.5 - 2 km away from temple.

Hoshiyar Nitin: We reached our room, now we all were doing some masti and all then i don't remember exactly what happend but it ended with this

"Nitin agar hoshiyari na kare to Nitin Nitin kaise??"
Acharaye shiri ke Darshan and Nitn to Nitin sagar: We wake up early next morning i.e the first day @ Ramtek though we were late for 'Guru bhakti' so missed the same. Everybody got ready in the minimum time(ab yaar bando ko konsa time lagta hai tayiyaar hone mein :P). We started for the temple, we all were barefoot though the roads there were in good condition but it was rainy weather there so roads were wet but this can't stop us :) .

We reached temple, actually in the same premises there were many temples. After darshan of 1-2 temples we came to the place where Acharaye shri were supposed to come. Many other people were also there and all were waiting for them. After some time we heard 'Jai Jai Gurudev' and other slogans.

I remember Mayank tried to touch Gurudev's feet when they were coming and they just didn't allowed him(by moving their feet). We were standing there and then suddenly I said(don't know if others heard me or not :P) where is Nitin?? then I looked here and there and ..... there is Nitin he was there where Acharaye shri went to wash their feet.

Only thing came to mind was 'Ok he might be at right place' so I quickly went to him but in the same time he moved near to Maharaj ji and guess what he started washing their feet. I was like(don't have words) from here Nitin's started becoming 'Nitin Sagar'.

Muni Sangh: This was first time in my life that I visited some place where there was so big Muni sangh(Jarur koi punay kare honge). I saw how classes are conducted for them.

Sundar or bhavye mandir:

Now it was time for darshan of all the temples. I must admit temples were so beautiful and the environment there was full 'Bhaktimaye'. There were temples with number written on them and one was under construction. The main temple was of 'Shri 1008 Shantinath bagvan'. That statue was found under a tree in the earlier times and then there only this temple was build. This statue is in Almond's color.

Here are some pics for you.

Tumhara vichar kya badla meri to kismat hi badal gayi:

We came to know that around 9:00 am there will be puja of 'Acharye shri' which will be done by all the didi(Bhramcharni didi). So we were waiting there then Nitin said come with me we all boys went along with him he took to a room where Muni shri 108 'Anand sagar' was there. There we saw a kshama yachna talk between a Guru(Anand Sagar) and sishya(another muni). We all sat there for some time and there he told us one story which two of our friends(Lavish and Nitin) has described as below:

In Lavish's wording:

In Nitin's wording:
We missed the poojan but this was a good lesson for us so we were happy. Here onwards our 'Nitin Sagar' was in form :P :P

Nitin Sagar Continues:
Nitin took us to each and every room for darshan of all the 'muni maharaj'. Thanks to nitin :):).

We were able to see all together a different Nitin who was actually leading us, heads off to Nitin. Here is an example for you:: he was talking with one muni maharaj and they were reminding him after how much time he has came for darshan. So we concluded that he is 'Nitin Sagar' for us :):)

Aahar and Chuke:

Now it was time to get ready for aahar of maharaj ji. Neha's aunt was hosting the chuka(place where 'Muni maharaj' can come for aahar). Neha was ready already. For boys we were having 2 dhotis and other two we arrannged some how. Now were standing at the entrance of temple and it was like two parallel very long queues on both end. People were standing in groups for padghan.

Bas aa hi gaye 'Acharya shri' humare chauke mein:
We all were standing there with some fruits, kalash in our hands, here comes the Guruvar, and the environment was filled with slogans jai jai guredev,

namostu namostu
atro atro
tristo tristo
When acharye shri 108 Vidyasagar maharaj ji was coming we felt like he is looking in our eyes and he is about to come but then he took turn with a smile :)

One by one all maharaj ji went. Then we all went to see 'acharye shri's' ahar.

Pate pooja:

Now it was time for breaking the fast or i should say breakfast :P. We ended up in the first shop after the premises. We ordered kachori, chai, poha. I must accept all of these were very good aur humne bhar pate khaya. :)

Ramtek the place:

After all the bhakti it was time for some masti. We heard about a Ram temple in Ramtek as this town got it name after Shri Ram who stayed here( i guess) while searching for his wife 'Sita'. We were able to see that temple from everywhere as it was on a hill. In addition to that there was a water 'Dam' in Ramtek so we all decided to visit both the places, we booked a auto of bigger size. See our sitting arrangement in the auto cum tempo :P

The Dam:

First we headed towards the dam, it started raining we didn't stopped(jab hoslo mein ho dum to kya dhoop kya chaao kya barish :P). Driver took us to the top of that I don't know how did he though that we will be doing boating in such a rain I guess he recognised 'Nitin' not as 'Nitin Sagar' but as Rajnikant :P :D:D. Then we told him gaadi mod le bhai.

We stopped on road side for photo shoot look we all are looking good hai na...

Only boys

Mausam was awesome and fortunately rain also stopped or it was very less.

Ram Mandir:

We reached Ram mandir, guess who were there to welcome us. Ram bhakt 'Hanuman' ki saina ke sipahi yani bandar, actually langoor(ha vo hi kale face vale). It was long path to reach at the top on both the sides there were small small shops selling eatable aur har kadam pe langoor hi langoor. We reached the temple and did darshan, it looked like very old temple with statues of Ram and Lakshman.

There was a room type and people were going at the top of same. We also reached at the top..... what a view... what a view yaar . We were at the top(aaj mein upar jamana niche) and we were able to view whole city.

Leaving here for now will catch up in part3 :)

Clips in third and last part will be:

Photo session and 'Langoor aur chane'
Guru Aarti
Viya vraiti
Yahi khade rehna
